Under water sea?

This piece by Pae White is a gorgeous yet simple sculpture where lights reflect off of the yellow foil and onto the walls. It gives nearly a yellow under water effect. Very eye catching.

transparency

I love the way that in Jim Hodges "Mirror on Canvas" (2006) shows the reflection of light through the broken glass. This is an example of my project where im going to try develop the thoughts around transparent space. 

Photoshop

 So Photo Shopping can get a bit crazy. My tutors told me yesterday to change around photos on the photo copier machine, but i realised i had Picasa 3 on my laptop so i said id try it. I was so surprised at how easy and straight forward it was to change them around. These are going on my wall tomorrow.

Ideas

So today I was told not to change my idea but to look at it differently. So instead of a 'spider web' I'm looking at transparent space.

I can still use my web idea as it takes up space but you can still walk through it. Same with puddles, water and light reflection.I'm starting to like this :)

Spider Web

I wanted to make a spider web to put in the corner of my studio.
I thought i had this brilliant idea of making it at the kitchen table, using the chairs to use keep the wool strings taunt. This worked well and my web was made..


one problem.. how do i get it off now without breaking? thank god i recorded photos before it did break!

what is art?

I really do like these hdr photos. there is something just so magical about them.

Crowded Space

I thought about doing "Crowded Space" for this brief. Initially i always thought about crowded space to be a busy street or a big city.. after finding this picture, iv realised that crowded space can be of anything

ART

I had the idea of doing "personal space" for my "To Sense My Space" project and i looked up Google images for a bit of help. I cam across this blog that really got into the whole personal space i was looking at. I think she was one brave girl.
