So for today we had to pick our four best photos under four headings.

I didn't like any of the deep depth photos I had taken as they were all out of focus on some part of the image. This is the photo I took about 7 months ago in Curragh Chase.

So Basically my name is Michelle, I'm 18 and from Limerick.

I have one brother, Jamie and one sister Rachel.
I work in the strand hotel in limerick, and have a cat Roxy and chickens.

I love social networking, cooking baking, beaches and tea.

For my first semester assignment I used transparent space and worked with materials.

James Maher

 These are works by James Maher. He is an NY photographer that photographs everyday rotes and lifestyles of NYers lives.

I expectally love how he uses different angles and techniques to portray his work.

George Karbus

When I was about 15 my brother showed me this website belonging to George Karbus. As he is a surfer he loved his surfer pictures. Me on the other hand I loved everything on the site, making me check it more and more regularly.

 These are some of my favourite pieces on the site. I love the composition and effects he gets through his images. Even in black and white you can see vibrant contrasts between the black and white. He does mostly under water scenes, what a lot of photographers don't do, and I love these as it is not something I see usually, it opens up the underwater life to me. some day id love to own an camera I can use under water and do deep sea diving.

Today we got a brief to make a presentation about ourselves..


This is some of my ideas that came to mind..

 I'm the middle child of three. This is my older brother, Jamie and younger sister, Rachel.

 

 Finally, I thought I should include my first pieces of photography. These went intentional photography's to ever use. The top one is my brother surfing. His friend owns an SLR and gave it to me when they went surfing one day and I got some good shots.

I think this one on the left was a bit earlier, but we were in castlegregory surfing and afterwards hung out on the beach. Ryan and Eoghan decided they wanted to remake some scene in a movie, and found this sand Don. The camera was put on sports mode for me, but it was how all these photos came out made me interested and excited to see what else I could do with a camera.


  Below this is a picture of one of my favourite pastimes, well I suppose habits, Tea and biscuits at the fire.. and my cat, she loves her getting her photo taken.
